Amani means “peace” in Swahili. The group was formed to share the concept of peace through music.
The core veteran musicians are frontmen Stephan Fuller on vocals, and Marty Eigen on woodwinds. Amani is a collective with connections to dozens of talented musicians who perform alongside them regularly.
Amani performs hits from a variety of genres including: The American Songbook, Folk, Blues, Gospel, R&B, Jazz, Bossa Nova and Broadway. The extensive repertoire can be tailored into a program that will make your event a joy for all who are lucky enough to have the experience of hearing the group.
AMANI has performed several concerts at the Morris Museum, both in our Bickford Theatre, and opening our acclaimed outdoor concert series, Jazz on the Back Deck. Their great musicianship is matched by their dedication to making a success of every performance leading to regular SOLD OUT shows that always leave our audiences wanting more.
Our audiences raved about AMANI’s Nat King Cole Show!... Singer Stephen Fuller has an amazing voice and is backed by talented musicians; you couldn’t ask for a better performance!"
AMANI - Brilliant! We enjoyed the band many times, at large sold-out venues to almost intimate places like the Watchung Arts Center and to a house concert style for my wife's special birthday. AMANI is audience-focused, with top musicians and fun, again and again. Terrific!
